PS: Doesn't look half bad. I like the symmetry of the top and bottom grilles separated by the bumper. Much better that the mouth-breather style that has been all the rage in like every car made in the last few years. It's refreshing to see bumpers again.

Oppo doesn't really have mods per se. If you've been followed by Oppo, then you have the power to follow others on Oppo's behalf. If you move your mouse over to the upper right hand corner of anyone's post, there will be a little downward facing triangle that appears. Click on it and you can follow that person for yourself or Oppo or share any comment by any person to the Oppo FP.

First off, your name change.... just realized that...

Second, as someone who drives one, I can say that i'm more than happy with it. Sure, for the $22K we (my family) paid for the '12 SE I drive, we could've gotten something with a better interior, but mechanicals wise? it is the best small sedan money can buy. The GLI especially. those things corner like they're on rails! Of course, the fact they're handsome helps too!

I say go for it!

But seriously, its a better car in pretty much every way. Mercedes have no feel and are devoid of any driving fun. The GLI is an absolute joy.

And yeah. The SE w/ Connectivity and Sunroof can be had for just under 23. Its everything I need! Plus, according to APR, a Stage 1 1.8t is right on the heels of a Stage 1 2.0t.

wait, they're $23K? I forgot about that... might need to get a 1.8T jetta to go with the 2.5! and I love the name!

APR wise, yeah they're pretty close, with the stage 1 1.8T making 210hp on 91 octane and the 2.0T making 250 on 91 octane. The torque difference is a bit bigger if I recall though...

Actually its 236hp with the new 1.8t. The old 1.8t had 210 at stage one. And the new one has similar torque characteristics to the 2.0t. It really is a beast on an engine.

Well the engine is actually just a downsized 2.0t. The differences are really only volumetric. And the GLI is an awesome choice. Get the Autobahn package if you can find one. The wheels and sunroof alone make it worth the extra 1500.

This GLI is at the same dealer where my mom bought her 2.5, and my stepdad bought his GTI WOB. I could get it for $22K, and just look at that beauty!

I would say $23k to be safe. But even at that price, that's awesome! Dude, you'd be so happy with a GLI. Its literally everything about the Jetta, turned up to 11.

eh, i'd say turned up to 9... you can't disable TCS, and it's not that bonkers. fast? yes. mad? not really.

But you should get an SE and put an APR tune on it! seems like a great idea! hopefully, you won't miss the rumble of the good ol' I-5 too much!

Honestly the sound is what I'll miss the most. And the newer GLIs have a button to turn it off. As much as you can turn the GTI and Rs off...

And there's a button to turn off TC. People complained that the GTI had a button and the GLI didn't, so they implemented one :D
